New Architecture 3

With this third volume of the collection Belgium New Architecture, we want to spread understanding of the conception of architecture which, from the inside out, is created in a natural movement in relation to sites, orientation, and the needs of the occupants, and bring that conception to life. It first generates the plan of the buildings, their internal organisation, and the façades then rise next, as the consequence of a close relationship between the internal layout and urban organisation which arranges the whole town around them. It is this ideal requirement that guided our selection of recent projects, their analysis, often compared with that of colleagues and juries, and confirmed by many site visits.
